Some areas of the track had been altered but this only improved what is a great track. With an entry of about 50+ drivers and clear blue skies we were all set for a good day. Competing in the series Kevin was 1st and just needed to make the A main to take the title and Bren sat 3rd needed a TQ and win to take 2nd. Both would battle during the Day and would experiment heavily with tyre combination to gain knowledge on balance for later on in the year.
Rnd 1 Kevin with a clean run took the TQ just in front of Bren in 2nd both setting a great pace.
Rnd 2 again Kevin showed his pace to take TQ in the round, Bren again finishing 2nd to give the pair a 1,2 on the grid in the main.
Rnd 3 changing tyres and setup would show greater pace to take a 1,3 in rnd.
Rnd 4 Bren would prove in the last round the Nosram engine he's trialling had the legs for 10 minute stops giving us options now for finals.
With the end of qualifying the heavens would open so delaying things which gave us all time for some prep on the cars. The rain was short lived though and the finals shot past with Adrian Eaton bumping up from the B with his new XB808 into the A. With all the A finalist ready to start just prior to the flag raising for a parade lap the heavens would again drop a monsoon with us all leaping for cover under the tents. For Health and safety reason the final was cancelled so results were based on qualifying results giving XRAY a one two on the podium.
